Worry, Fear, Distrust, Care

There is a quote from a very godly man named A.B. Simpson that says “Worry, fear, distrust, care – all are poisonous! Joy is balm and healing, and if you will but rejoice, God will give power.” I believe that we focus to much of our time on the wrong things, such as worry, fear, distrust and caring about things that we cannot control. By doing this we use up so much of our time and strength. We need to learn to focus our thoughts on things that are worthy of thinking about, such as rejoicing about what the Lord has done for us and the blessings that He has bestowed upon us.

Worry is a waste of time, fear hinders us from being productive and stepping out in faith, distrust is losing hope in your fellow man, and caring about things can totally zap you of all your strength and your peace. I am not saying that we should not care about things, but we need to keep in perspective what is in our control and what is out of our control.

The reason that these four things are poisonous to us is because they are not healthy to our spirits. Like poison they slowly kill us from within. They take their toll over time and like poison they do their damage. When we worry we bring unnecessary stress into our lives. We usually cannot change any of the circumstances and that is why we worry. When we fear it paralyzes us in one way or another. It will stop us in our tracks! When we distrust people we tend to be very cynical or paranoid. When we care to much about something that we cannot change, it literally will drive us nuts.

Each of these (Worry, fear, distrust, care) have a legitimate place in our lives at certain times, but as we know, if we let them overtake our thoughts then they are dominating our emotions and then it becomes unhealthy for us. God gave us our emotions so that we would be able to be compassionate towards others and so that we can relate to others. But when our emotions rule over us and not the other way around, us ruling our emotions, we get out of balance. This is the exact reason that A.B. Simpson said what he said. He was a preacher and had seen to many people ruled by these four attributes. They were poisoned within and had become unhealthy. It had stolen their joy and now they did not have the strength to rejoice. They were bitter people, not better people. Their thoughts were dominated by one of the four or by all of the four. Worry was running their life or fear was running their life, distrust was making them cynical or paranoid. Those who cared so much about things were just getting ate alive by their concern. It was dominating their thoughts, stealing their peace.

How you battle these four is by turning them over to the Lord, asking Him to take away your worries, take away your fears, putting it upon your soul to trust others, and giving your cares to the Lord. He did not ask us to carry unnecessary burdens. He has told us in His word not to worry, not to fear, to trust in Him, and to give all of our cares to Him. He loves us, He does not worry about us, He does not fear for us, He knows He cannot trust us, but He knows that we can trust in Him, and He does care about us!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We need to learn to rejoice in Him and what He has done in our lives. Focus on His Word (The Holy Bible), to learn more about who He is and what He has done for us and get to know how He views the things that go on in this world. If we would do these things, then we will learn not to do these four things (worry, fear, distrust, care). And if they do cross our paths we will have a healthy perspective of how to deal with them, so that they will not dominate our thoughts and take control of us.

I hope that this article has helped you in some way to understand that these four attributes can be poisonous to our souls and that we need to have a healthy perspective of how to deal with them. Oh yeah, and the power part of the quote, well that comes with the reliance of the LORD and what He has done and He will give you the power from on high when you rejoice in Him!!! I would like to suggest that if you are still struggling with any of the four, to check out the “Subjects” page on this website and to read “Anxiety, Fear, The Mind, The Heart, and The Soul”. All of these different subjects clearly state what the LORD has to say about these things. May God Bless You and Keep You!!!!

According to the Bible there are only two kinds of women in this world. The immoral and the virtuous. Now I have known immoral women that have a lot of the attributes of the virtuous woman yet when it comes to their morals, that is where the waters get muddy. The reason that I have put this article together is because of the lack of morals that I see in our society today and the fact that I see so many women throwing away their lives to satisfy the desires of their flesh. Later to find out that they have brought shame and regret into their lives and now they have to reap what they have sown.

In this article I am going to focus on the attributes of the virtuous woman, what the Word of God (The Holy Bible) says about her. God shows us how the virtuous woman conducts herself in Proverbs 31:10 – 31. On the Subjects page of this website there are two different studies one on the immoral woman and one on the virtuous woman if you want more information about the two different women. I hope you enjoy this article and benefit from it in one way or another. Please let me know in the comments section if it has benefitted you, thank you!!!!

The first thing that it says, is that  a virtuous woman is more precious than rubies and some versions say she is more valuable than rubies. Basically it is saying that she is hard to find and when you do find her that she is very valuable and rare. This is the kind of woman that men really want. The next thing that it says is that her husband can trust her. And since I am a man I will tell you that this is important. Because when a man gives you his heart, he really gives it to you. He would die for you. He will protect you and you will feel secure in your relationship with him. She enriches her husbands life. And any man that is worth being with will recognize this. The next thing that it says is that she brings her husband good, not harm all the days of her life. If you are bringing your man harm then you are not doing what you are supposed to as a woman. She is productive with her time (Taking care of business). She goes out and brings good things into her house. She takes care of her family, she gets up early and plans out her day. She uses her money wisely (Investing for the future). She puts her heart into her work. She is wise in her dealings (Making profits/ Long hours). She isn’t afraid to use her hands to work (Getting in and getting dirty). She is kind to the poor and she helps the needy. She is prepared for the winter and makes sure that her household is also. She takes care of her house and dresses well (Appropriate). She picks a man who takes care of his business (She doesn’t just give herself to anyone). She is always thinking of new ways to benefit the family. She is strong in spirit and has dignity (She respects herself). She is confident, especially about the future, because she does good planning. She chooses her words wisely (No foul language/ Controls her tongue). She gives instruction with kindness (She isn’t harsh). She pays attention to what is going on in her house. She is not lazy. Her children show her respect. They have nothing bad to say about her, because she conducts herself properly.

Now if you do not line up with all of these qualities or are good at doing some of the things that are described in Proverbs 31. It does not mean that you are immoral. What it means is that you need to cry out to God to help you where you are lacking. We all fall short in one way or another and we all need to cry out to God from time to time. He is always available and He is your heavenly Father who loves you for who you are and he knows all that you have been through in your life. He desires to have a close relationship with you and bless your life. No matter what has happened in your past, God can change your future and make you into the woman that you desire to be. He wants the best for your life and He has plans for you.

If you really want to see what a real man is, open your Bible and read about Jesus. He is the perfect example of what a man should be, but do not expect any man on this earth to be able to be as good as Jesus. A godly man who takes care of his business and treats you like a lady is almost as hard to find as a virtuous woman. But they are out there. Do not settle for a man who does not treat you the way that you should be treated. For a man will respect you, if you respect yourself. But boys will use a girl who does not respect herself. There is a big difference between girls and women and boys and men. Maturity has a lot to do with these differences and throughout life there are things that are designed to help us mature, but some people get the lessons and some people do not. I can tell you as a husband and a dad that it is very important to show the women in your life their value, for this world is always lying to the women about who they are, they spend so much time focusing on the outside appearance. The Word of God teaches women who they really are and how to focus on what matters, the woman on the inside. As you have seen through this article, that there wasn’t hardly anything said about the outside appearance other than she dressed nice and conducted herself properly. In our society today, we have lost a lot of what really makes a woman attractive. I hope that you have gotten something out of this article and that it gives you some things to think about. We need more godly women doing the right thing and building up godly children for the next generation. We as a society have really gotten off track and it is time to get back on the right track, so May God Bless You and Keep You and Mold you into a Virtuous Woman that people will praise!!!

Today we are going to talk about suicide. How so many people have either contemplated taking their own lives or either know someone who has done this horrible act. We hear about these situations all of the time and I have personally seen the devastation of the after math way to many times.

Suicide is the ultimate deception from the enemy of our souls. The one who is condemned to eternal damnation and is trying to take as many as possible with him to the grave. When someone commits this terrible act all they are doing is trying to stop the pain that is within. They are typically being tormented in their soul for some reason. I believe the enemy of our souls is feeding whatever is the root cause of the reason that people wants to commit this act. Whether it be regret, guilt, shame, failure of some kind, etc. He probably orchestrated what happened in the first place and now he is trying to steal your very life here on earth. His goal is to kill, steal, and destroy and he is the master of it. The Word of God (The Holy Bible) says that he has been a liar from the beginning and that he is the father of lies. It also describes him as the “deceiver”, the “tempter”, and the “accuser”. Gee, sounds like a really nice guy! Yes, by now you have probably guessed who it is, the “Devil”, Satan, Lucifer, as you can tell he has many names, and they all describe his character perfectly.

Look he is here with an agenda and that is to kill, steal, and destroy and that is exactly what he does when he convinces someone to commit this horrible act. He kills the person, steals everyone’s peace that knew the suicide victim and destroys people souls with all sorts of questions. Why? I wish I could have done something! Why did I not see this coming! How could they have done this? All of these things start running through the heads of everyone who knew the person. The very pain that the suicide victim was feeling was now transferred to everyone who they knew. And the people that loved them the most are the worst victims of this horrific act. They are the most devastated.

I believe that if we can learn to control our thoughts that this would probably happen a lot less in our society. People usually get to this ugly place over a long period of time and they have been battling these thoughts for a long time. What has really been happening in a spiritual sense, is that they have been listening to the enemy for too long. They have been convinced that this is better for everyone. So they take their very lives. But in reality they have just transferred their pain to everyone that they loved and loved them. They have literally been deceived!!!

If we can recognize that we have a spiritual enemy that is out to destroy us and our loved ones, then we can come to a logical conclusion that we do not want to give him any kind of a foothold in our lives. Now the Word of God teaches us that the enemy is constantly shooting flaming arrows at our minds. That he is always trying to get us to believe the wrong things and that this battle ensues in the mind. Remember his ultimate goal is to kill, steal, and destroy. He is evil and his intentions are bad. Now if we can recognize that some thoughts are absolutely not ours, that they are these arrows, then we can learn to abort these thoughts instead of meditating on them. I will give you an example of this, when you go to sleep at night and you have a dream, and it is totally bizarre, the kind of dream that you wake up and you are just like, What was that all about? Well, you probably had some of those arrows shot at you. You know that those were not you thoughts and you did not like it and the dream was so horrible that it tormented you, well that was not you. It was your adversary doing what he does, attacking your mind.

Now when you are asleep you cannot control your dreams. The only way that this stops is when you wake up. But when you are awake you do not have to entertain these lies from the enemy. You have an opportunity to release these thoughts and not buy the lie. There was a verse when I first came to Christ that totally helped me with all these different arrows that were being shot at me. This verse is 1 Corinthians 10:5 “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” Now let’s break down this verse and analyze it. Casting down imaginations (Let’s face it, we need to do exactly what it says to some of the things that come into our minds, cast them down!!!) Get rid of, abort these thoughts, cast them out of your mind. Every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God (Obviously the “high things” are talking about the spiritual beings who are behind the scenes trying their best to get you to believe the lies and not to believe God, for it says that they exalt themselves against the knowledge of God) What that means, is that they are trying to act like they are more powerful than God and that they are in control, but they are not!!! God gives us the answer in the very next part of the verse. Bring into captivity every thought (We are to arrest these evil thoughts that war against us, bring them into captivity make sure that they don’t harm us) We are to make sure that our thoughts line up with Scripture and that we are doing what Christ has told us to do so that we will be in obedience to Christ. Jesus died for our sins so that we could live more abundantly. So we could actually get as much out of this life as possible and be a blessing to others. God loves you and He loves you so much that He sent his one and only Son to die in your place. He does not require your blood as an offering, to get right with him, as a matter of fact, your blood will not suffice His requirement. That is why He sent His son to fulfill the requirement of the law. He needed a perfect sacrifice, a sinless man to bring mankind back into right standing with God Almighty. Now that this has been done, all we have to do is receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and we are right with our God. Of course we have to repent of our sins also, which means, quit doing what we know is wrong. Turn the other direction from these things and ask God to help you to continue your journey with Him. And look, you are going to continue to sin even after you have become a Christian, but the good news is that God will continue to clean you up, as you let him. You will learn over time to continue to surrender things to God and He will continue to give you the desires of your heart. I used to pray to God all of the time, that He would make my desires His desires, because my desires were not good for me. And I can tell you that He has done that through the years. As you surrender your life to God, He will bless your life and teach you how to fight the good fight!!! He does His part and as He gives you strength you do your part. So don’t lose hope, God has plans for your life and they are plans for good, not evil. So do not let the enemy have anymore, let him know what God has told him long ago, that he is a defeated foe and that he is going to have to go to Hell by himself, that you are not going to let him steal anymore from you and your loved ones. Let him know that you are going to take back your life and that he is not going to have any kind of foothold in your life anymore. As a matter of fact, the Bible tells us that God will restore to you everything that the evil one has stolen. He will give you hope, restore your peace, give you wisdom, give you knowledge, bind the enemy that wars against your soul, He will give you victory over your enemy and during this spiritual battle always remember that you fight from victory, for when Jesus was crucified on the cross, it was at that very moment that Satan lost the battle and condemned himself. So we do not fight for victory, we fight from victory, we have already won the battle, we are just waiting for Christ to appear and take us home, but until then, He wants us to live good victorious lives, knowing that He loves us and that He is in control!!!! So DO NOT buy the lies and give your life to Jesus!!!!!!!!!!! Pour your heart out to him and leave all of your problems at the foot of the cross where they belong, where your sins can be cleansed and your life be made right with Jesus. So He can start restoring to you what the Evil One has stolen.

God Loves YOU and so do we here at J3sus4me Ministries!!!!!!!!!!

Manhood is something that is quite controversial today. We have universities speaking about toxic masculinity and about aggressive male behavior. On the other side of the coin we have people that are trying to attack a person’s god given gender at birth. That you can identify as whatever you feel, if you are a male and you identify as a female then you should be a female and vice versa. People are quite confused on how to act nowadays with all of the different ideology about human behavior. We have thrown everything out the door and accepted everything as long as they are not violent. We will not tolerate violence, but we will tolerate everything else. As a society the world must look at the United States and think that we have lost our minds. We have gotten so far away from what established us as the greatest nation in the world. And that was our Christian beliefs and our entire governing society being ruled by the “Word of God” (The Holy Bible).

Most people do not know true American History. We have a very watered down version of our history that has been taught for the last hundred years. We have took all of the spiritual side of our greatest leaders out of the text books and just focused on what they accomplished. We do not teach why they did what they did, and how they did so much of what they did to glorify God. If you would like to learn more about our great leaders, men and women alike, then check out www.Wallbuilders.com David Bartons videos and archives are some of the best American history that I have ever seen.

Now let’s get back to the subject at hand Manhood. We see the perfect example of how a man should act and their attitude in the person of Jesus Christ. We see a man that at the age of twelve years old knew why he was here and was willing to do his father’s business. When his parents took him to Jerusalem for Passover and then they started home, they realized that they had left him in Jerusalem, so they went back and found him. They found him in the Temple speaking with the Pharisees, and when they asked him what he was doing he responded that “he was about his father’s business”. Jesus knew at a very early age that he had a purpose here.

Men today have a hard time understanding what their purpose is, they believe that they are supposed to go out and make as money as possible, work endless hours, provide everything monetarily possible to their wife and kids. But they are missing the point all together. I have found throughout the years that most women actually want their man’s time and attention more than money and possessions. Their children definitely want daddy’s time and attention more than possessions. We have failed as men by buying the lie. We need to get our priorities straight and straighten out society. We need to balance our lives and quit buying into all of the ills in society. We need to find our purpose that God has ordained in our lives and do it. If you are married, then be the husband that your wife needs. A man that has integrity, does the right thing every time. Is honest and trustworthy, a man of his word. Someone that she can trust with her heart and feel secure about herself and who she is. Someone that will not reveal her secrets and that she feels safe with. If you are a dad, then start acting like one!!! Be at your kids sporting events, tell them that you love them, spend time with them, and learn to be involved with them in what they like. Find somethings that you guys can bond in. You are the dad, put your best foot forward. Be the dad you always wanted, even if your dad was not that guy.

In the Bible there are two people that are spoken about the most, the first one is Jesus Christ and the second one is King David. The Bible clearly states that the Bible was written about Jesus, but obviously God thought that it was important to give us a bunch of really good examples of do’s and don’ts in His word. Now King David’s life is clearly written about more than any other person in the Bible besides Jesus Himself, so I would conclude that there are a lot of lessons to learn from David’s life. When we look at David, he first appears as a boy tending sheep, a not so favored son by his father. But God did not look at David as his earthly father did. God seen what David was going to become and his earthly father did not see David’s potential at all. In the Bible it says that God looks at the heart and God said that David was a man after his own heart. So when we look at Scripture about David we can kind of see a glimpse into the heart of God and how God thinks a man should act. Now David was a fairly humble guy in general, until it came to being put under the gun, then he was not afraid to react. When we see how he went up against Goliath we see that David knew that the battle was the LORD’s and he let it be clearly known. He told Goliath that he was going up against God, not the little shepherd boy that he was looking at, but Goliath did not believe him.

This is the first attribute that I would like to address as being a man. Understanding that you have a purpose and that God created you with one. It says in Scripture that the “Fear of the LORD is the beginning of Wisdom”, it also says that the “Fear of the LORD is the beginning of Understanding” and the “Fear of the LORD is the beginning of Knowledge”. And I believe the reason that the LORD gives us all of these statements is because he wants us as men to have wisdom, understanding, and knowledge. Now wisdom is knowing the truth and following through with it. For knowledge is to know something, but wisdom is knowing what to do with right knowledge. Understanding comes throughout your lifetime with different experiences and knowledge, being wise enough to surround yourself with wise counsel, being willing to accept constructive criticism, not destructive criticism, for there is a difference, one builds you up and the other one is designed to tear you down. This is where true knowledge, that is, God’s word, will help you discern the difference between what is from God and what is not. For God has a plan and purpose for your life. It is not just to be a husband or a father, but to be a godly man full of faith, with an outstanding character. He desires to make you into the kind of man that you have always desired to be. A man who can be counted on, a man who stands by his word, he does what he says and can be trusted. A man who has a good moral compass and will be there when no one else is. God will give you the strength to be this guy. We cannot do all of these things on our own, and even if we do, we will not be good enough in God’s eyes. For He tells us that “No, not one is righteous” that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. That we need a Savior!!! And that this Savior is Jesus Christ. That He died on a cross for our sins and that all we have to do to get right with God is to accept what He has done on the cross in our behalf. His death on the cross has made us right with God, and because of His shed blood we are made right with God, if we accept Him as our LORD and Savior. This is where your true Manhood will begin. This is where God will show you your purpose!!! He has great plans for your life, but you need to submit to His purposes. Believe in Him and trust that His plans are better than yours and sit back and watch what He will do!!!!

Now David had a hard road ahead of him after his defeat of Goliath. He did kill the giant and get rewarded greatly by the king, but the king became very jealous of David and tried to kill him a few different times. It even got so bad, that the king went after David with his entire army. But God protected David and delivered him from King Saul. Now when you study David’s life you will see that he was just like all of us. A very simple guy, but a guy who was in touch with his entirety. He knew who he was, he knew what he felt, and he even knew how to express it, this part I think a lot of men lack. We sometimes have a difficult time expressing ourselves. But when you read thru the Psalms you will see that David did not have a hard time expressing himself. He knew how to love, he knew how to hate, he knew who his enemies were, he knew who his God was, and he was very well rounded. David was obviously friendly and made a lot of friends. According to Scripture, when he was out running from Saul, that he eventually had a four hundred man army of his own. It is also recorded that David had thirty mighty men who were great warriors like David himself.

This is the second attribute of being a man, being friendly, kind hearted. The kind of guy that people are comfortable around. David was this kind of guy and so was Jesus. People loved being around these guys, they both attracted people to them. Why? Because they were friendly, not so judgmental, they accepted people for who they were. They brought something to the people, kindness, loyalty, love, the kind of qualities that people look at today and say you are weak if you act like that. That isn’t macho!!! What a thought, to think that either of these men were not macho enough. King David killed thousands of men in battle, protected Israel and defeated all of their enemies. And Jesus, well he was so macho that he died on a cross a horrible death that he did not deserve for our sakes. He had all the power of heaven to destroy his enemies, yet chose not to. Who else does these kinds of things?

The third attribute I would like to address as being a man is that of being in touch with your emotions. Most men suppress their emotions and think this is what you do as a man. You stuff all of your emotions that you do not know what to do with and just keep putting them in your heart. Well, the problem with that is you will finally just blow up! Everything that you continue to stuff in there will eventually find its way out and in the worst way. Men do this all the time. They lose their cool and just blow up, because they have never been taught how to deal with their emotions. Instead of controlling their emotions, their emotions control them. Let’s use anger as an example, most men let anger control them, instead of them controlling their anger. Anger is just one emotion of many, but a lot of men lose their control right there. When they get mad, they do stupid things, because they do not know how to control themselves. Now David and Jesus again are great examples of anger under control. David was being hunted by Saul and he had an opportunity to kill Saul and did not do it. Even though his men tried to get him to. But David chose to spare Saul’s life and show him mercy. Even Saul himself said that David was a better man than him for doing this. And Jesus did not condemn the people who hung him on that cross, instead he prayed to the Father, “Forgive them for they know not what they do”, he was praying for those who just crucified him, he knew he was going to die. Both of these men were completely in touch with their manhood. They knew how to laugh, they knew what to do with their lives, they knew that they had purpose, they knew how to cry, they knew how to control their anger, not let their anger control them, they knew how to love, even the unlovable ones. They were both great men of God!!! On the subject of crying, men are taught to suck it up and you are weak if you cry, but the shortest verse in the Bible is “Jesus wept”. The reason Jesus wept was that He had foreknowledge of what was going to happen to Jerusalem in the future. He seen the destruction of the city, the raping and the pillaging that was to happen and it saddened His heart. Crying does not make you weak, it makes you in touch with your feelings. There are legitimate reasons to cry and God did not give all of us tear ducts for no reason. I personally believe that women are a little bit more in touch with their emotions and that is the reason that they cry more than men, but this is not a bad attribute. It is part of who they are.

Now the fourth attribute that I would like to address is being a leader and not a push over. There are many times in Scripture that a man is manipulated by someone who has their own agenda. But I am only going to use three instances in order to get the point across. The first one is going to look at the instance that Adam and Eve brought sin into this world. Adam was told by God before Eve even existed that he was not to eat of the tree in the middle of the garden. Now we see later in Scripture that Adam and Eve are now at the tree and that Eve is deceived by the Serpent and then she talks Adam into eating of the fruit of the tree that he was not supposed to eat of. Some want to blame Eve for this, but as far as Scripture teaches, she was deceived and Adam made a choice. This was Adam’s downfall, following Eve instead of following God. He was not being the leader that God had called him to be. The second instance is Father Abraham and how he and Sarah could not have children, so Sarah gave Hagar to Abraham as a wife in order to bear children. Then when Hagar became pregnant it says that she looked at Sarah with contempt. So Sarah was upset and blamed Abraham for her bad decision. So he told Sarah to deal with Hagar however she wanted. So Sarah was harsh with Hagar and she ran away. But by God’s grace an angel appeared to Hagar in the desert and told her to go back and to submit to Sarah, that she would be blessed if she did this. So Hagar did as the angel said and God blessed her for that. But again we see a man who is listening to his wife instead of the LORD and paying the price for it. He was not leading correctly again. Abraham and Sarah had both been told years earlier that God was going to bless them with children, but Abraham did not put Sarah in check when she suggested Hagar as the solution, instead he bowed down to his fleshly desires and got Hagar pregnant. The third instance I want to bring up is when Job was being tested by the LORD and he and his wife lost everything, including their ten children. This was ordained of the LORD for our purpose, to show that he will let calamity into our lives, but that it has to go through him. That Satan can do nothing without the approval of God. Now we do not understand sometimes, why? But we clearly see in the Book of Job that this is a fact. Now when Job was at his lowest point his wife approached him and told him to curse God and die. But Job did not do this, but instead told his wife “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” Job was putting his wife in check and also leading her in the way in which she should go. Job was not at all happy in the circumstances, but he also understood that this was God’s will for their lives. He was leading by example and showing his wife that she needs to humble herself before God and receive the adversity that has come into their lives. Job was a good leader! David was a good leader! Jesus was the ultimate leader!!! He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for the sins of the world, and now sits at the right hand side of the throne in heaven, still teaching us how to lead. It is said that a good leader will have those who follow them, but it is also said that a great leader will teach those he or she is with how to lead themselves. I do not know what kind of leader you follow, but I follow Jesus and he is a great leader teaching those who follow him, how to lead!!!! Emulate Jesus and his character and you will not go wrong. Job did well, David had his faults, but Jesus did everything right. Pray to God that He will continue to make you more like Jesus every day and accept yourself for who you are, correct yourself when the Holy Spirit convicts you and continue to make wise decisions.

Being a man is not going to work and bringing home money, it is being responsible and taking care of your family. Being a man is not about hanging out with the boys after work and drinking beer. It is about going home and addressing the needs of your family. Helping your wife and spending quality time with your kids. Get to know them the way they want to know you. Being a man is not losing you cool and acting like a fool. It is about leading your family in a godly manner and leading by example. Are you going to blow it, of course you are, but keep trying and keep praying that God will teach you how to do it the way he wants you too.

Being a man is about turning from a boy into a man. Letting God shape your character into who you are supposed to be. Someone who stands up for righteousness. Someone who will not stand by and let this country of ours become a cess pool for the wicked. Someone who will do the right thing, even if it costs him something. God blesses right choices and curses wrong ones. Always make the right choice!!! When you do not know what to do, ask God and He will direct your path. He will bring the right person into your path to show you the way, or He Himself will open up a door to go thru. God will never leave you or forsake you!!!! You need to be this same way, a person in whom others can count on in their time of need. Being a man is to be sacrificial, giving to others, showing mercy to others, being graceful with others. Bringing judgment if you absolutely have to. Making hard decisions that might cost you dearly. Transforming into a man from a boy is a hard thing. It is not easy, but thank God, He does it for us through a whole series of events that we go through in life. We call it maturity and I believe that God is the one who matures us, for I have met sixty year old boys. Men that have never matured, still acting like boys. Boys trapped in men’s bodies. I believe as a man you should never lose that inner child, but you need to man up when you need to. Go home be with your wife, be the friend that you should be, be the father that you should be, be responsible at work, be a man of integrity, be a man of your word, be the kind of man that other men look up to. It is not about the car that you drive or the house that you live in, but about who you are as a person. Be the kind of man that others admire, that they want to get to know, that they can count on!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope that this article has blessed you and that you will share it with others that you know need to man up or at the very least would be able to benefit their souls. That it would affirm to others what it is like to be a man and DO NOT ever let someone tell you that you did the wrong thing when you know in your heart of hearts that you did not. You only have one that will judge you on judgment day and that is God, so don’t be a man pleaser, but be a God pleaser! I love you guys and I hope that the LORD will bless each and every one of you that read this article!!!!!!!!! Have a blessed life and enjoy your manhood, remember GOD made you to be a man and to act like one!!!!!!!!!!

I am currently writing this article in the hope that it will help anyone out there that is struggling at the moment. I have been a Christian for about 18 years now and I have had a whole lot of different diversity to deal with throughout my lifetime. I can honestly say that it was different before I believed in Christ. I was definitely living under the curses and not the blessings, but in saying that, I have to say that I do still struggle even under the blessings. For I am still human and I have emotions and the enemy of our soul uses these against me.

For the last couple of years I have been struggling in my walk with the LORD and all I keep hearing Him say to my soul, is “DO YOU TRUST ME?” and I keep telling myself that I do, but I have still been struggling. I am typically a very private person and I do not usually share my difficulties with everyone, for I have a lot of different responsibilities and most of the time people come to me with their problems, not vice a versa. But one of the things that I have really noticed in the last couple of years, is that everyone that I know is really struggling with all sorts of different issues. I assure you that we all struggle in life from time to time and that is why I wanted to post this article this month.

The word for “compassion” in Latin means to “suffer with”. And I do believe that we as a nation need to learn to have more compassion with each other. Our media is full of hatred and disturbing news. Natural disasters are so common place that we are becoming de-sensitized as a nation. We have become more inter connected through social media, yet we are more disconnected from each other than ever. We seem to have all sorts of knowledge, distractions, things to do, yet we do not have any compassion for our fellow man. Our children are completely disconnected from reality and are spending all of their time in fantasy worlds that are created on the internet. We have lost touch with reality and it shows in our society.

Recently the LORD showed me that His hand was still upon my life by bringing a new friend into my life that we had a short time to share part of our stories with each other  and I believe that it was ordained of God. We did not get to spend a whole lot of time together, but we got to help each other out in order to get back to what we both enjoy, and that is our families. God was showing both of us that we need to get back to basics and to keep a balance in our lives in order to be doing His will and to make sure that we are being right with other people and ourselves. I believe God brings people into our lives at just the right time and for purposes that we do not even understand sometimes at the moment, but we can look back and realize that these people were really a God send. I hope that if you are struggling today that you reach out to someone for help and that the LORD brings those people into your lives that will help you out. And most of all that you be that person who is reaching out to people and doing what our Lord and Savior has told us to do, and that is to “esteem others better than ourselves”. With that attitude in life, you cannot do wrong. For as we give, we do receive, this week has proved it to me again, that God is faithful and that His Word is true. God Bless!!!!
