To be right with God has often meant to be in trouble with men. This is such a common truth that one hesitates to mention it, yet it appears to have been overlooked by the majority of Christians today.

What this means, is that when you are doing the will of God, you will upset people who want to use other people. Your righteousness upsets their plans and agendas and so they hate you for it. You squander their evil plans. Jesus did this constantly, that is why He was hated by the religious Jewish leaders.
