Our heart is where we keep our most treasured possessions, our love, dreams, hopes, desires, and faith
It is our internal safe, where we store up all of our treasures
As children all we want is to be loved by our loved ones
We treasure their company and desire their attention
As we get older we get distracted by other things
We start coveting with our senses
We start trusting our senses of seeing, touching, tasting, hearing, and smelling
Soon our heart starts getting filled up with other things
Our most prized possessions are buried in the back
Just like when we were a child our toy box was our safe
But as we possessed more toys, some of our favorites got buried in the bottom
And when we went to retrieve that toy, we would get distracted by other things in our toy box
Soon to have long forgotten about it again
After so many years our treasure chest is so full, that we don’t even know what we treasure the most anymore
That is when we need to completely empty it out and prioritize it
Get rid of a lot things that we held onto for so many years
Emptying out our heart and only putting back the things we choose to
Getting rid of all those distractions that held our attention
So that we can truly see what we truly treasure
We treasure the company of our loved ones and desire their attention
We long for their love
