When you come to the conclusion that life is not a bowl of cherries and that there is a lot of burdens to bear, then you start to realize that you might need some help. This is where Jesus said “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28 NKJV). Jesus tells you the answer, He says in the next verse “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (Matthew 11:29 NKJV). Now what he means by take My yoke upon you, is that, you are going to serve someone, either Jesus or the Devil. Jesus said in the book of Luke “He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters. (Luke 11:23 NKJV). To finish what Jesus was saying in Matthew, “For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:30 NKJV). Jesus does not want to put the burdens on you that the god of this world does, what I mean by the god of this world, is that, the Devil is called the god of this world in Scripture and the reason he has this title is because he is the one behind all of the evil in this world as we know it today. The murders, the hatred, the perversion, the greed, etc. etc. etc. We know that God in heaven is ultimately in control, but for now until Jesus comes back again to rule and reign on this earth, He lets the Devil have dominion until He comes with judgment. The beautiful part about receiving Jesus as your LORD and Savior is that the Devil does not have dominion over you any longer. Everything that happens to you from that point forward has to go through God himself for approval. “Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:27-28 NKJV). In order to have a relationship with Jesus all you have to do is invite Him into your heart. You ask Him to forgive you for all of your sins. To wash you clean from the inside out, and truly mean it from the bottom of your heart. God knows everything you have ever done wrong already, he has perfect books in heaven according to Scripture. If you choose not to repent of your sins, then these books will be opened on judgment day and read aloud. “For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. “Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops. (Luke 12:2-3 NKJV). God loves you and so desires to have a relationship with you that He sent His son to die in your place, to pay the penalty that we so deserve. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. (John 3:16-17 NKJV).  For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, (Romans 3:23 NKJV). For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23 NKJV). For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” (Romans 10:10-11 NKJV). For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13 NKJV). Now you might ask how do I talk to God? You just get alone and start talking to Him either out loud or within yourself, He is God, and according to Scripture it says He knows our words before we even say them, so I am pretty sure that He can hear you. Now if you have repented of your sins, this means turn away from them and go the other direction. You have cried out to God in prayer, which is speaking to God, then Welcome to the Kingdom of God, you are now a child of God Almighty!!!!!!!! And believe me our Father in heaven treats us correctly not like our dads here, that are just men trying their best.
