“The first and almost the only book deserving of universal attention is the Bible. I have myself for many years made it a practice to read the Bible once every year. I have always endeavored to read it with the same spirit and with the same temper of mind which I now recommend to you: that is, with the intention and desire that it may contribute to my advance in wisdom and virtue.”
John Quincy Adams (Founding Father/Sixth President of the United States)

“Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence upon Thee, and we beg Thy blessings upon us, our parents, our teachers, and our Country.”
This is the prayer that was stated in the case of Engel v. Vitale, that got the 1962 Supreme Court to decide that it was unconstitutional to allow prayer in schools. That same year the court decided to find out how many people believed in religion or God and in the case of Abington v. Schempp, they found out that only 3% of the people did not believe in religion or God, that means that 97% of the people did. The courts letting the minority lead the majority, sound familiar?
“Human law must rest its authority ultimately upon the authority of that law which is Divine… Far from being rivals or enemies, religion and law are twin sisters, friends, and mutual assistants.”
