A.W. Tozer (Demonstrated)

Faith in God is to be demonstrated, not defined.

A.W. Tozer (Pastor, Preacher)

Our faith is to be applied into our lives, and by doing this we demonstrate how much God has changed our lives. We do not have to explain to people how God has changed us as much as show them how much God has changed us.

A.W. Tozer (Harmony)

It is astonishing, how many difficulties clear up without any effort when the inner life gets straightened out. If half the time we spend trying to fix up outward things were spent in getting our hearts right, we would be delighted with the result. Strange as it may seem, harmony within our hearts depends mostly upon our getting into harmony with God.

A.W. Tozer (Fear)

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casteth out fear. Fear is a painful emotion that arises at the thought that we may be harmed or made to suffer. As long as we must trust for survival to our ability to out look or out maneuver the enemy, we have every good reason to be afraid. Fear is torment. To know that love is of God and to enter into the secret place leaning upon the arm of the Beloved, this and only this can cast out fear.

A.W. Tozer (Ultimatum)

We who preach the gospel must not think of ourselves as public relations agents sent to establish good will between Christ and the world. We must not imagine ourselves commissioned to make Christ acceptable to big business, the press, the world of sports or modern education. We are not diplomats but prophets, and our message is not a compromise but an ultimatum.

A.W. Tozer (Christian Woman)

The Christian woman should remember that she cannot buy true attractiveness; that radiance which really shines forth in beauty is of the heart and spirit and not of the body.

A.W. Tozer (The Human Heart)

The widest thing in the universe is not space; it is the
potential capacity of the human heart. Being made in the image of God, it is
capable of almost unlimited extension in all directions. And one of the world’s
greatest tragedies is that we allow our hearts to shrink until there is room in
them for little besides ourselves.

A.W. Tozer (Pastor, Preacher)

A.W. Tozer (Yield)

When we yield ourselves completely to God, He gives Himself completely to us.

A.W. Tozer (Pastor, Preacher)

I normally do not comment on quotes from other people, but on this particular quote I have found it to be so true. Throughout the years I have found that this principle of yielding ourselves to God does in fact inspire God to reveal Himself to His people. Yielding yourself to God means repenting of your sins, seeking after God, and doing His will, yielding your will to His will for your life. We do this by our own free will, it is our decision, and I can tell you that not yielding to God has hindered my own walk with the LORD many times throughout the years.
