I love coaching football, and winning a Super Bowl was a goal I’ve had for a long time. But it has never been my purpose in life. My purpose in life is simply to glorify God. We have to be careful that we don’t let the pursuit of our life’s goals, no matter how important they seem, cause us to lose sight of our purpose. I coach football. But the good I can do to glorify God along the way is my real purpose.

God’s definition of success is really one of significance-the significant difference our lives can make in the lives of others. The significance doesn’t show up in won-loss records, long resumes, or the trophies gathering dust on our mantels. It’s found in the hearts and lives of those we’ve come across who are in some way better because of the way we lived.

During this time in our country we see a lot of different situations that we need to heal from as a nation. Our nation is divided in so many ways and we have let the enemy of our souls divide us. United We Stand!!! Not divided as the Devil likes to do, with different ideologies. Look at how much division has occurred in the last eight years. We have been out of God’s grace, because our administration chose to reject Israel, and as the Word of God says, ” I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Gen. 12:3) This promise was given to Father Abraham. He was the first Hebrew. Which in turn, created the Jewish nation Israel. Through Abraham comes all of these promises.
Since our nation has turned its back on Israel we have been out of God’s blessings and I believe any American who really looks back at history would agree with me on this. The enemy of our souls, the Devil is here to kill, steal, and destroy and I believe that he has done a very good job at it in the last few years. We have not had such issues as a nation since the 1960’s and we have obviously turned another page in history. We have huge race issues again, we have terrorism, we have a lack of love towards one another, we have huge trust issues with our neighbors, how many of you really even know your neighbors anymore. Our nation has turned our backs on God and it shows. We as a nation idolize people, sports, entertainment, material objects, experiences and a whole lot of other things. I believe that once people get to the end of themselves and sober up they will see that everything that this world has to offer is useless and let’s you down.
Jesus said “(Matthew 11:28-30) “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. “For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (NKJV). This is where the healing begins, when people quit looking at this world for all the answers and start looking to the God who created the heavens and the earth, who created mankind and has even made us in His image (Gen. 1:27).
I hope whether you agree or disagree with the new President of the United States, that you understand that since his administration has renewed our alliance with Israel that we are now under God’s blessings again, and it is God who answers prayers, He is the one who directs the king’s heart according to Proverbs. So continue to let your requests be known to God and trust Him. Not the politicians, not man, only God. Trust God to heal our nation and to deal with our issues. Recognize His hand upon our nation as the days go forward and let Him heal our nation. Let Him heal our hearts, take our vices, heal our families, bring back love to our fellow man. Bring His peace to our nation, change the times to prosperity of our souls. Install character into our people who lack so much integrity in every industry around our nation. Please bow your knee to the LORD of LORDS and the KING of KINGS, Jesus Christ and let the healing begin. May God Bless Our Nation and may He bless you personally!!!!!!!!!!
Christmas in today’s society is controversial to some who oppose the truth, that is, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. We have failed miserably in the United States of protecting the Holy things that have been instilled into our care, such as the birth of Christ, to pass this knowledge unto the next generations and to make sure that children understand what Christmas is all about.
Let’s talk about what Christmas is not about. It is not about materialism, getting into debt, getting drunk at Christmas parties, commercialism, or anything else that promotes irresponsible behavior, it is about the birth of Christ!!!
During this time of year, people usually do a lot of reflection of their lives and some slip into deep depression, even to the point of suicide. They get lonely, have messed up families, have had bad experiences around this time of year, etc. Maybe they have made some bad choices that have ex-communicated themselves from their families even. Well, Good News!!! We have a Savior and He came and died for our sins on a cross over 2,000 years ago and after being dead three days, He resurrected and lives today. He sits at the right hand of God Almighty, His father in heaven, right now, interceding in our behalf as you read this article. What a thought!!!
This Jesus that I am speaking about wants to have a personal relationship with you and stands at the door of your heart and knocks on it. He will not break down the door, for He is a gentleman, and He will come into your heart and have this relationship with you, if you invite Him in.
Jesus Christ was born into this world in order to live in a real human body to be able to experience all of our temptations, limitations, emotions, physical weaknesses, the whole human experience, so that, He could completely understand all of our needs and desires. He was not born in some fancy place, He chose to be born to a humble poor couple, who did not really possess any real material possessions at all. He lived a sinless life as an example for all of us. His ministry showed that was human, yet was divinely inspired. He died a criminals death, even though He was an innocent man. For you see, He could not have fulfilled the righteous requirements of the law that bind man to eternal judgment, if He did not live a perfect and holy life, but because He did, God the Father blessed humanity with the free gift of Salvation thru Christ, His one and only son. That my friend, is why we celebrate Christmas. Jesus is the reason for the season!!!!!!!

We as Americans have a right to vote through a democratic process in which the people have used for a long time. We all know that our political system is broken and is in desperate need of a major overhaul. Whether you agree with the outcome of the system or not, we need to all pray that God intervenes and gives wisdom to our new President. That God will continue to sway his thought processes to get in line with God, not man. We see throughout Scripture that the LORD used pagan rulers to do His will. An example of that is Pharaoh, who put Joseph over all of Egypt at that time. Another pagan King that God used was Nebuchadnezzar, who took cancel from Daniel the prophet.
Now in one of these instances, we see Pharaoh and his people benefit from listening to God, and in the other case, we see that the King got humbled. Because Pharaoh understood who God was and that He (God) was with Joseph, for Joseph interpreted his dream for him, when Pharaoh did not even tell him what the dream was about. His people benefitted from Pharaoh’s recognition of who God was.
Now on the other hand, Nebuchadnezzar recognized who God was, but did not humble himself, but became proud and arrogant, God humbled the King. He actually made the King go insane and had him live as an animal for seven years in the court, eating grass as his diet.
So we need to keep our government in prayer that the LORD guides them and protects them in this turbulent society that we live in today. We are a Republic, which means that we live under a system of laws, called the Constitution of the United States. In the Constitution there are over 90 direct quotes out of the Word of God (The Holy Bible). Our entire governmental system was taken right out of the Book of Leviticus. With the three different branches of government, that are suppose to have a system of checks and balances that are suppose to protect the people, when one branch decides to try and over rule in an area that they are not suppose too.
We have been given another chance to see if the politicians can repair our broken system and get it back in order. But it only works if the people of the system will obey the guidelines of our Constitution and adhere to the authorities that the LORD Himself has established. Remember fighting against God is the dumbest thing we could ever do, for it is pointless!!!!
I hope that wherever you stand on the political issues that you realize that there is always going to be a higher power than you and that God has ordained it that way, even King Nebuchadnezzar had to learn that lesson the hard way and my prayer for you is that you do not take that same path. For God is a loving God, but He is also a “Just” God, which means people will reap what they sow, or as the world puts it “What goes around, comes around”. I do not believe that Jesus could have put it more into what we are seeing today than when we read Matthew chapter 24. As we turn on our Televisions and computers we see a constant barrage of garbage being thrown at us of the signs of our times. It is a bit overwhelming to most of us, all of the negativity and how corrupt our world has become. When asked by His disciples about end time events, Jesus spoke to them in Matthew chapter 24, in this section of Scripture we will see that there will be a whole lot of things that are going to happen. Most of them very negative, but prophesy will be fulfilled just as Scripture teaches and then Jesus “The Messiah” will return with judgment for all those who are not his, that are doing these acts against His children. If you want to see a preview of what is to come to all of those who do not accept the LORD as their Lord and Savior, then read the Book of Revelation. This is the only book in Scripture that says that you will be blessed by reading it. I think the reason, is because you will understand what kind of horrors are going to come to the earth in the future of mankind, before the judgment, so God warns us, so that we will repent of our sins.
At the end of the Scripture there is a small section of “Will’s”, this was put together, just to point out, what will happen, regardless of what people say or do. For just as Christ came the first time, He will come back again, just as Scripture says He will. I hope that the LORD blesses you thru this study and I would suggest for you to read “End Time/False Apostles”, if this study blessed you.
